Rapper Young Jeezy, who is well-known for songs such as "I Luv It" and his collaborations in the music world, was arrested early Wednesday morning in Atlanta on suspicion of a DUI.
The rapper, whose real name is Jay Jenkins, was pulled over at 2:30 AM in a white Corvette after police observed him speeding, driving recklessly, missing tags, driving with an open container, and also failing to show proof of insurance. He was taken into custody and booked at a nearby jail before being released on bail.
Jenkins's representatives were not available for comment, and he is scheduled to appear back in court on July 17.
This was Jenkins's third arrest. He was also arrested in 2006, but not charged in a Miami Florida shooting incident, and was arrested a year later for disorderly conduct while he was at a trip club.
